About Mountaintop


Mountaintop Education Consulting is a woman-owned firm founded by longtime educator Mary DeSimone and inspired by her passion to have English Learners reach the opportunities that are only available at the Mountaintop of Education. We believe that all ELs can make it to the mountaintop with appropriate teaching, and teachers must be supported with high-level professional development to gain skills and confidence to support their students. With 20+ years of EL education experience, we have set the stage for delivering full-service consulting, coaching, and training programs for public and private education.

ABOUT MARY

Mary is an international education coach specializing in ensuring that all learners have the opportunity to rise to their potential.
After working with Massachusetts multilingual education for over 20 years as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and distric administrator, she now provides much needed professional development to teachers and school districts.
While specializing in English Language Learner Education, Mary has also worked with teachers in high-poverty indigenous areas of the Philippines, Guatemala, and Peru on topics including Growth Mindset, Emotional Intelligence, Learning at Home Through the  Pandemic and Making Math and Reading Engaging for students.
She lives in Dracut, MA with her husband Steve and dog Willow.
